Error discovering mode

Since I changed by Xbee 24P radio to API mode XCTU does not find the radio. Using version 6.1.2 of XCTU. I am using an Arduino wireless shield. I had no problems before the change to API and the other Xbee I have which is still in AT mode is recognized.

I get the following error:

could not find any device in COM 8>error initializing xbee device parameters>connection timeout >Could not read Hardware and Firmware version.

Help is very much appreciated

Try removing and re-adding the radio to XCTU. If that does not work, try using the XBee Recovery function in the XCTUNG menu.
