Lost connexion on USB modem with AnywhereUSB

Hello,

I Have a VMware ESX cluster and I’like to connect on a Virtual machine a USB : Speed’Com USB V92 Ready - v2
My operating system is windows 2003 server standard. My modem is detected, I install drivers, when I communicate with it, I have answer,
There is a red light for the power,
I create my connection, where I try to connect the second light green is lighted on for 2 seconds and the 2 light is off. After i must reboot my machine.

In Anywhere USB view I watch my modem but the power light is off …

Is there an power problem ? can you help me ?

How is my english ? LOL sorry (I’m french … )

Thank

Hi Jeremy,

Your English is much better than my French

Unfortunately most modems just aren’t compatible with the AnywhereUSB. We have discovered that hardware (controller based modems) will usually work and also our Rapidport modem will work as well.

If you’re stuck using this modem, unfortunately there won’t be anything we can do to just make it work.

Are you able to use a different modem? If so, I would suggest the Best Data USB 56K controller based modem. We have had much success with customers using this on the AnywhereUSB

Mike

Is this the model best modem you recommend?
