No hubs found but still connected

I’ve setup an AnywhereUSB/14 on the network. I’ve installed the driver and applications on a VM. Using the AnywhereUSB Remote Hub Configuration Utility I never see a hub, it says No Remote Hubs Found. However in the utility Remote USB Hub Viewer I can see the RealPortUSB Host controller and ports 1 through 14 including the USB stick I have in port 1.

Why does the AnywhereUSB Remote Hub Configuration Utility not also see it? I did have the AnywhereUSB set with a static IP address, and can get to it from a browser. I entered that into the Discovery List and Connection list.

The short answer is, you can be connected to an AWUSB without discovering the AWUSB.
