not receiving IP address from provider

Hi,

With a WR44 router I am unable to get an IP address from the provider (auastralian provider Telstra). However using the simcard in a different router (different vendor) it works without any problems.

I have followed this guide:

We have had problems with the modem before were it would simply not boot up and just the first lan led would keep blinking. This appeared to be caused by a dodgy antenna cable. Unfortunately we are still having issues.

As mentioned the simcard works fine in another brand modem. I have spend many many hours trying different combinations of settings but have not been able to get an ip address at all.

Help would be much appreciated.

nvm. eventually got an IP address. dont know why it took very very long.
