I am trying to use a port server TS4 to connect to Control logix processor through a wireless router. I need to make process adjustments remotely. All connections have been established and works fine except for the speed, it is very slow. If I take out the wireless, speed doesn’t improve. I am guessing I need to change a setting in the TS4 to speed up communications.
You may need to flip the “optimization” setting under Configuration > System from throughput to latency.
If that doesn’t speed up the serial port communication, please clarify how the behavior is slow. What the setting does is prioritize the serial port data rather than buffer it, so this may have the desired effect.
