Hello everybody,
I’m trying to use a couple of XBee WiFi S6 (I know they are discontinued, but unluckily they were the only ones I could find here in Italy) to bridge a serial communication in transparent mode. I’ve been looking for a tutorial, but with no success. BTW, most of of the tutorials out there are using the old XCTU tool. The most promising guide I’ve found is the following, but I didn’t find it enough to succeed with my goal
http://www.digi.com/support/kbase/kbaseresultdetl?id=478
Official manual (http://ftp1.digi.com/support/documentation/90002124_K.pdf page 22 and following, in particular page 29) didn’t help. I’d need a step-by-step configuration description, or a working example, since when it comes to fill the parameters I’ve only found suggestions like “make baud rate etc… and then local and destination IP etc… coherent” or generic stuff like that, but still my devices don’t communicate.
I made all transissions parameters the same on both (baud rate 115200, 8 bit, parity, flow…). Then I set one device on “creator” and the other on “joiner”. The I/O ports are the same on both. I invented an SSID name. I disabled DHCP and I chose local IP 100.100.100.100 and destination IP 100.100.100.101 on one and the opposite on the other. Mask 255.255.255.0 on both. The only thing that I couldn’t set was the CH, because the field is not editable. Is there anything else I have to do before the devices start talking to each other?
Thank you very much!!
