XB24CZ7PIS-004 XCTU configure

I have a custom PCB which is designed for the SMT: XB24CZ7PIS-004 I have connected a to the device with a USB/UART and tried to detect using XCTU, but the device is not found.

I have connected with a terminal window and the device responds to terminal enter key with response: “B-Bypass Mode, F-UPdate App, T-Timeout, V-BL Version, A-App Version, R-Reset”

Why can’t XCTU connect to this device? How do i configure it with XCTU?

This is a programmable xbee and not a standard xbee. Try using the Bypass option. It should then allow XCTU to read its settings till you power cycle or reset it again.

Can you lead me to the docs that talk about how to deal with a “programmable” type?

Also, how can I determine which are “programmable” and which are “standard”?
