I want to update the firmware of my Xbee Pro Sx device, but it gives the error of not resetting the module.
Are you able to provide the exact Error message you are getting an the exact part number you are working with?
message error is: could not enter programming mode.> could not reset the module
model: product family: XBP9X-DM Function set: XBee Pro Sx firmware version:9007
Why don't you answer? Customer service is very bad.
Sara, the forum is for customers helping customers. It is not where Digi Support handles customer issues. That function is handled under the https://my.digi.com/ site.
From the sounds of it, you do not have the proper connections needed for forcing access to the bootloader. That requires the VCC, GND, DI, DO, RTS and DTR lines to be connected.
However, it was you who asked about the nature of my problem when I mentioned that I couldn’t perform the update. Additionally, I’ve already posted this issue on a forum and haven’t received a response. I don’t think it should be this difficult. Where exactly should I post my problem to get a proper response?
Sara,
If you are looking for direct help from Digi International, then I would suggest logging in and creating a case at https://my.digi.com/.
As I indicated, you need to have VCC, GND, DI, DO, RTS and DTR connected from the module to the PC via a proper level shifter. The XBee interface boards are a good option to provide that connection. If you are using a 3rd party board such as an Arduino, it may not have all of these connections to allow the firmware update to occur as documented in the manual at XBee®/XBee-PRO SX RF Module User Guide
My module is actually a CUAV, which means I connect it directly to the computer using a Type-B cable. In this way, I use the XCTU program. How will this work?
Sara,
Can you provide a link to this CUAV device? That is not something that Digi has created.
how?

Sara,
Digi does not create a CUAV device. Are you able to provide a web link to who ever created this device?

While the SX radio is a Digi product, the board and case it is mounted on is not. That is where you need to contact the manufacture of the End product to find out if all of the required pins are connected to the USB port for updating firmware on the SX.
Can you share the update in a form where I can install it on the device?

@saraEngizek the firmware files can be found at Digi XBee SX 900 RF Module and are available in XCTU. But if the device does not have the proper lines connected, you will not be able to update the firmware on the radio.
Where exactly should I post my problem to get a proper response?
I would suggest contacting the manufacture of the FPV Transmitter Module for Pixhawk Pixhack Flight Control FPV RC Drone Quadcopter. They are the only ones who would know if they have set up the hardware to support firmware updates or not.
The firmware files for the Transmitter (XBee SX) needs to have them installed on the XBee.
The XCTU software which is needed to upload the firmware file with, needs to be installed on a PC that has the required lines connected from its COM port to the radios DI, DO, DTR and RTS lines.
You will need to contact the manufacture of the Flight Control system to find out if they have provided an option to perform the updates or not.
