XCTU cannot find XBee on newer firmware versions

I have an XBee3 Zigbee 3 RF Module. XCTU can find the device locally when the firmware is either “802.15.4 2001”, “DigiMesh 2.4 3000”, or “Zigbee 3.0 1000”. However, these are the only versions that allow the XCTU to find the device. If I use the XBee Recovery feature to update the firmware to any newer version, then the XCTU can no longer find it.

I initially assumed that it was a hardware issue. However, I have a second copy of the same RF module; there is no hardware/wiring difference between them, and they are newly bought. XCTU can find this second device locally regardless of the firmware version. Therefore, I am not sure what could be causing the first RF module not to be found by the XCTU on newer firmware versions.

I suspect that the issue may involve the bootloader because newer firmware versions use a different bootloader. Aside from this lead, I am not sure what could be causing this issue. Any ideas or suggestions would be beneficial. Thanks!

Make sure you are using the current version of XCTU. If you are, then I suggest submitting a case to Digi Support for assistance.
