AccelePort 8r 920-PCI does not banner DL320 G6, why?

Any advice criticism welcome, checked Digi KB no such luck. HP tried to help, but could not determine issue, Suggested that Digi support maybe able to help.

  1. Digi card Product #: 77000561 installed no error on boot (same slot detects and banners other non Digi PCI cards;

  2. Driver version 8.1.220 installed, checked device manager and it is fine with no yellow marks so not an application layer issue at this pojnt.

  3. Tried disabling CLI serial command line interface from ilo, that is enable by default and it is for iLO, so if any device is used this option must be disable.
We had some issue to get ilo interface opened. We tried to disable from there and it (the Digi board) appeared grayed out.

4)Re installed card and then checked to see if it appeared. No it was still grayed out. Same issue.

5)Cleared NVram and checked again iLO2 settings tab. Same situation.

Any ideas or solution would be welcome!

Thnx

Hi DonHo,

Try going into the BIOS and disabling or turning off BOOT ROM for the PCI slot in which the Digi adapter is installed.

If the problem persists, please answer the following questions.

What is meant by it “does not banner”?

What are iLO and iLO2?

Which version of which operating system is being used?

Would you please provide some details about the DL320 G6?

If the 8r 920 pluggged directly into the motherboard, or, is it plugged into a card cage assembly?

If it is plugged into a card cage, is the card cage plugged into a PCI or a PCIe type slot on the main board?

Does the DL 320 G6 main board provide 5 volts on the correct pins of the PCI slot (except the 3.3volt signalling pin)?
The 8r 920 is “universal”, which means that it function if the signaling (or IO) voltage is either 3.3 or 5 volts (pins 10 and 16, both side A). However, the adapter does need 5 volts to power up correctly.
(I believe some manufacturers have stopped providing the 5 volts to the PCI slot.)
