Connect MOD-ZIGBEE-PIR to xbee series 1 XB24-AUI-001

I have buy a MOD-ZIGBEE-PIR https://www.olimex.com/Products/Modules/RF/MOD-ZIGBEE-PIR/
and a XB24-AUI-001 series 1

I thought that the XB24-AUI-001 with coordinator function could comunicate with MOD-ZIGBEE-PIR configurated as end device, but does not work. Any idea? or XB24-AUI-001 is not compatible with zigbee stack?

MOD-ZIGBEE-PIR support MiWi stack, can be useful?

The XB24-AUI has no ZigBee function.

The MOD-ZIGBEE device will go out, looking for association claiming “I want an 802.15.4 network speaking ZigBee”, and since the XBee you have doesn’t speak ZigBee, it will NOT offer service.

ZigBee is to 802.15.4 as TCP/IP is to Ethernet. So you are trying to use TCP/IP to talk to a pure Ethernet devcie only understanding raw 802.3 Ethernet frames.
