Edgeser.sys causing blue screen Windows 7 32 bit USB 2

I am running Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit. Using Edgeport/4 for navigation computer. I am getting blue screen so started driver verifier which reports “DRIVER_VERIFIER_DETECTED_VIOLATION” caused by driver edgeser.sys version 5.70.105.

I would uninstall the EdgePort driver and reinstall the driver. Make sure you reboot the computer after uninstalling the driver.

EdgePort Install:

I had tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but still getting blue screen.

The computer is running navigation software, as soon as the program is started it is blue screening.

I haven’t had any problems before using the Digi edgeport, I prefer them to say the Moxa serial to usb as you don’t suffer from the “Crazy Mouse” with the edgeport.

What if you use Putty to try to access the comport and see if you get the blue screen?

Yes, blue screen when accessing Com port using putty.

I would install the EdgePort on a different computer and see if the issue still occurs. If the issue still occurs, that would probably mean the EdgePort is defective.

I tried it on another identical computer and the same problem blue screen. So I took a different PC to client to try and no problem.
