I have a question about ZigBee’s. I’m busy with end-devices in the API mode. Is there a way or command to wake up an end-device via the serial port instead of a pin?

The Xtreme 900 has this ability (wake on serial data). Also, the programmible Xbee would have this ability provided you programmed it to do so.

So the answer for the ZigBee XBee is no, you cannot wake via serial port. The theory behind sleeping is that you wish to save battery power, and any ‘exotic’ method of waking just suck battery life to death.
You need to use pin-sleep on the ZB Xbee.
