Sorry if this is the wrong category, but I was curios if Digi offers a product that would allow for multiple TCP Autoconnections with unique Socket IDs and output them on a single Serial port.
We typically deploy a 1:1 situation where we have a single Digi Connect EZ setup for Autoconnect with a unique Socket ID. But I’m looking to see if there is a solution that would allow me to setup 8 TCP Connections, and send 8 unique Socket IDs to our sever, and then have it output to a single serial port that is connected to another server.
with “autoconnect” where the Digi serial server works as a TCP client and is connecting to and external TCP server, only one remote TCP server is possible.
If you use the Digi Serial Server as TCP server, and your external machines are connecting as TCP clients, this is possible, when you enable “serial port sharing” on the Digi Serial Server.
It is also possible to support multiple destinations if you use UDP.
