NEO 4 Port (RJ-45)

Hi!

I am installing NEO 4 port serial card (RJ-45) on a linux server (FC5). I finally able to compile the device driver but I am unable to pass data traffic. I ran the test utility (dnctest amd dgncview) and seems the NEO serial card is working fine. I am wondering if I have the correct pin-outs for my cable. Is there a documentation that specifies the pin-outs for (RJ-45 to DB9)that I should be using for this card ?

Thanks in advance !

Eric

The following will work for connecting a DTE device (terminal, PC, printer, etc):

Hi!

Is there are different diagram for RJ45 to DB9 (female) ? I am trying to connect two terminals. One terminal is using Neo 4 port(RJ45) and the other terminal is using standard serial port using DB9(male).

I am trying to build a cable with RJ-45 on one end and DB9(male) on the other end.

Thanks in advance!

Eric

The pinout would be the same, only the gender would change.

Here’s the pinouts that I found and works on my application…
