pinouts from etherlite 160 to APC

I am using my etherlite 160 terminal server and I need to connect to APC MasterSwitch. Does anyone know the pinouts to AP9221 MasterSwitch VM Power control unit?

If you can find out the pinout of the AP9221 serial interface, and whether its a DTE or DCE device, we can help you figure out the pinout to the Etherlite RJ-45 serial interface.

These masterswitches I believe are DTE devices. I found these pinouts but it uses RJ12 6 pins.

1 Gnd
2 –
3 Rx
4 Tx
5 –
6 Gnd

Do you know which of the two grounds is Signal Ground vs. Shield/chassis ground?

Ok, we’ll go with this then, assuming the AP9221 is DTE as you suggested:

EL RJ45 AP9221 RJ12
SG 6 ---- 1 Gnd
2 NC
Tx 5 ---- 3 Rx
Rx 4 ---- 4 Tx
5 NC
6 Gnd

SG = Signal Ground
NC = No Connection

Hope that helps! If the AP9221 does turn out to be a DCE device, just swap 4 and 5 on the Etherlite side.
