I want my modems answer at the first ring. So, i put the at command ats0=1 on each modem. After i save the active profile with the command at&w0 and tell the modem to use this profile with the command at&y1!
After a modem’s reset, the command at&v shows the command s0 is still the value 0. And my modems answer after 2 or 3 rings!!
Do you have any idéas?
thanks
Have you tried doing ATS0=1&W, then AT&V? Try dropping the AT&Y1 step and see if that makes a difference. Which product do you have by the way? Do you know what firmware version is in it? (ATI3 will give you that answer).
My device is a AccelePort Ras 8 PCI card. I checked the firmware and it’s the last one. I tried your command line and when i reset the modem, the at command sO still has the value 0.
One possibility is that another application is reinitializing the modem with an ATS0=0, which is common in a log of applications. Also, how did you reset it?
I used Port assist manager to reset the modem i configured on the card. My OS is Windows Server 2003 SP1. My server turns only with RRAS service. Is there another way to reset modem? What kind of applications could interfere with the modem’s configuration?

I can think of a couple. RRAS might have some init string built into it. Also, check the modems part under control panel for init strings, might be in there as well.
