Rapidport/4 BSOD on edgeser.sys

I have non-stop Blue Screen of Death with the following STOP codes everytime the device is plugged in.

Windows Server 2003 R2 Enterprise (Clean install - All updates applied - No viruscan) on IBM x3550 M2 hardware

STOP: 0x0000007E on edgeser.sys
(C0000005, B91A006A, F79227EC, F79224E8)

Microsoft claims this is a driver issue.

I have tried multiple versions of the drivers to no avail. It appears to find and install drivers for IonMultiport –> Rapidport/4, then BSOD on Rapidport v.92 USB modem detections.

Has anyone experienced anything similar or can anyone offer any assistance?

Is the Rapidport/4 connected to a USB 3.0 port? I’m asking because this is a known issue.

I had the same BSOD on my Windows 2003 R2 SP2 server due to the external fax USB cord. When I unplugged it server came up fine. We have had this USB plugged in for a long time and all of a sudden this started happening. Plugged the USB in a different and it works just fine :slight_smile: :slight_smile: . Thanks to this forum I was able to find the issue.
