I just receive my brand new Zigbee module from Digikey: http://www.digikey.ca/product-detail/en/digi-international/XB24CZ7SITB003/602-1856-ND/5322878
XCTU can’t detect the device from the basic configuration. I am using the Sparkfun explorer, but I don’t think this is the problem considering it is just a FTDI chip USB-UART.
Why can’t XCTU detect the device?
That is a Programmable module. You are going to need to write and port over an application to the 2nd processor (Freescale) before you are going to be able to talk with it.
After playing around in XCTU, I was capable of finding the device.
How can you do that?
You need a bdm programmer and a different interface board in which to connect the BDM program to. You also need Code Warrior 10.2 and the XBee SDK.
